For the past several months, our leadership team and members of a special committee have been hard at work, conducting self-studies, gathering evidence, and preparing for the renewal of our accreditation status through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSCI), our accrediting body. We will host an outside team on our campus in March when they review and audit evidence that we are meeting and exceeding standards across a variety of domains including academic strength, school culture, organizational health, and teacher development.
The process has been valuable as we seek to refine our mission and best practices. We have had deep and meaningful conversations about who we are and who we are becoming as a classical school in San Francisco. Feedback from the visiting team will provide helpful recommendations for ways we can continue growing and becoming all that God has called this school to be.
Our pre-visit conversations with the chair of our ACSI accreditation team have been extremely encouraging. He's expressed a sense of wonderment that such a school, which embodies a mission like ours, is thriving in this city. We look forward to sharing with the visiting team what our excellent teachers are doing in the classrooms and the strides we are taking across the school to ensure our longevity and excellence.
On a slightly different topic, but still related, being a vibrant school community means that we value learning together and encouraging one another as parents, educators, and believers in San Francisco. We hope you'll make every effort to join us on the evening of February 9th when we will host our next Equipping Event. Childcare is available and it will be a rich time of connecting and learning from an expert and pioneer in the world of classical education. Please join us and invite your friends!
