Mrs. Amy Gast

B.A., Covenant College. Teaching in San Francisco elementary schools since 2014; previously taught at Donum Dei.

I have been teaching in San Francisco since 2014, primarily as an elementary classroom teacher. After previously teaching at Donum Dei, it's a joy to return to this wonderful community. My early spiritual roots were grounded in the Judeo-Christian tradition - I was raised in a family that attended church every Sunday, and as I grew into young adulthood I began to discover my own path of following Jesus. Experiencing the Creator's personal care and tender love has brought me profound comfort, purpose, and meaning. My hope is that the children I have the privilege of working with will also come to experience God's tender love, and in turn learn to love and care for themselves and others. I enjoy spending time at the ocean, hiking, observing the natural world, and exploring new places.
