Mr. Jaime Longa

MFA & BFA in Fine Art Painting, Academy of Art University; Single-Subject Art Teaching Credential, CSU East Bay. Teaching K-12 art since 2016; exhibiting artist and illustrator since 2009.

I was led to Donum Dei through God's providential guidance while looking to expand my teaching opportunities. I am grateful to teach in an environment that authentically lives out the Christian faith with love and seeks to cultivate the entire person. It is an honor to share the gift of creativity here, fostering a love of Visual Art through its practice and context. My continuous aim is for Jesus to reign over every aspect of my life. Though born into a faith-filled family, I had a radical reversion to Christ in my 20s after years away from the walk, and that journey has informed every major decision, including my vocation as an artist and educator. I hope to glorify Him through my work and mirror His virtues. Outside of work, spending time with my wife and two daughters is a top priority, along with studying Christian spirituality, apologetics, and history.
