Dr. Florence Fong

Education & Experience: Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction, Composite Religion, and Music Education from Bob Jones University. M.A. in Violin Performance and B.S. in Music Education with Violin Proficiency from Pensacola Christian College. Since 1996, she has taught and directed students from TK through Grade 12, as well as adults, in general music, music history and appreciation, music theory, choir, orchestra, handbell choir, piano, violin, and cello instruction.

I trusted Jesus Christ as my Savior at age 12, and throughout my life, music has been a powerful way God has taught me about His love and grace. As a native San Franciscan and first-generation follower of Christ, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve at Donum Dei Classical Academy and support its mission of nurturing children and families for Christ. I love sharing the stories and music of classical and contemporary composers whose works are rooted in Scripture, and I look forward to helping students use their voices to know God, praise Him, and point others to Christ. Outside of school, I enjoy ocean walks and hikes, experimenting with cooking and baking, and sharing the beauty, history, and cuisine of San Francisco with visiting pastors and missionaries.
